July 2002: Imaginatik Announces Launch of Portal Module 2.0

BOSTON, MA (2 July, 2002) – Imaginatik announces the release of the Portal Module 2.0, a web-based innovation portal. It provides a single place for companies to promote innovation activities, encourage discovery of innovation methods, and provide easy access to Idea Central ideation events. The Portal is an Add-On Module for Idea Central, the leading Idea Management software.

The latest release contains major improvements to the user interface, manageability of content, and has greatly extended the configurability of the application. Customers can now change colors and layout, and add graphical links to external web content.

A major benefit of the system is that it is easy to manage the content, and does not require any web skills. "The Portal Module has been designed for innovation managers, not web masters," according to Mark Turrell, CEO of Imaginatik.

The Portal Module is currently in use in companies including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Motts Apples and Teck Cominco. Imaginatik's Idea Central software is the most widely used idea management application, with clients in pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, chemicals, manufacturing, professional services, financial services and government

The Portal Module is available for installed and hosted customers, and is also available as part of the Event Package rental version of Idea Central. The product is available in English, with Spanish and French versions planned for end 2002.
