BOSTON, MA (3 September, 2001) - Imaginatik's Idea Central has been recognized as the leading enterprise Idea Management software by the InnovationNetwork.
The InnovationNetwork, a community of innovation practitioners and experts, including many Fortune 1000 companies, recently completed an extensive analysis of software vendor solutions for idea capture and management, and identified Idea Central from Imaginatik as the "best system available".
Idea Management is the process of collecting, developing and evaluating business ideas from employees, suppliers and customers to develop new products, identify cost savings and improve business processes.
"Most organizations say they want lots of new ideas but they don't do much to support the capture and sharing of ideas," says Joyce Wycoff, co-founder of the InnovationNetwork. One of the goals of the network is to develop new best practice and knowledge about emerging areas in innovation, and process support is seen to be critically important to the development of effective ideas management programs.
The study, conducted in the first half of 2001, was led by practitioners representing industries including banking, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and consumer goods, with the involvement of a number of highly-respected innovation experts.
