With more than 55,000 employees worldwide, most of Henkel's operations are centered in Europe, where the company is a leading maker of toiletries, cosmetics, detergents, and cleansers. Its 2004 purchase of The Dial Corporation fuels its expansion into these US market segments. It also produces adhesives and surface care preparation products for industrial use through its Henkel Technologies division.
